I built this banjo with a 12" maple rim, an ash neck, a figured walnut fingerboard, a thick walnut peghead overlay, and a fiberskin head.

I used a grooved 12" tension hoop and 20 flat hooks and brackets. The rim is 10 ply hard rock maple. The head is fiberskin. An armrest for an 11" head works just fine for the 12" head as well. Tailpiece is a No-Knot.
